Does anyone ever feel like you can’t share anything online until it’s perfect? It’s a really weird mindset, with how perfectly beautiful everyone’s instagram looks, that we feel we can’t share things that are still in a transformation process. Although, on the flip side, I absolutely love when other blogger friends share photos of thing sin process and not necessarily finished to perfection. And I mean, when working on a fixer upper is anything really finished to perfection? No. So I am forcing myself to share AND enjoy the process of things not finished.
One thing that is ever changing and in process is my large kitchen hutch. There are a million ways to style it and switch it up for seasons. I was ready to just embrace the warm weather and also incorporate some new things. So here is my hutch update for late spring/early summer.
I have included both new and vintage pieces in this update. Some of my favorite vintage finds are the vintage green English teapot, the brass patina bowls, the old canning jars, the wayrite scale and the antique, green glass electric insulators .
Some of the new pieces I have featured are my Rae Dunn mugs and canister, Hobby Lobby Farm Fresh Enamel Mug and some of my new favorite cookbooks. I don’t know about you, but I love getting a peek at people’s kitchen shelves so that I can see their cookbooks! Some of favorites right now are the Magnolia Table Cookbook and The Cook’s Atelier.
What’s inspiring you for summer? Let me know in the comments!
