I can feel myself rounding the home stretch with this project and getting so close to actually decorating!
We have officially installed the shiplap on the walls and the wood plank floorboards. This process was tedious as far as cutting goes because I opted to use pine plywood boards to cut the shiplap and the floorboards. I chose to do 6 inch width on the shiplap and 8 inch width on the floor. Getting these boards installed is instant gratification, it made the space look finished even before paint!
The paint job really pulled everything together and I am just so in love with how it turned out! I chose to use Kilz Magnolia Home Paint Line in True White on the walls and ceiling. I used Behr Exterior Paint in Antique White for the outside and the interior floors and I used Behr Exterior Paint in Black for the trim work and door.
I am working on the finishes tomorrow – weather stripping the door, painting door frames and window sills, adding switchplates, installing the door knobs and hanging the open shelving! I am on the home stretch and am just so excited to move in. Finally moving into this space means I get to start my new work flow, explore so many fun decorating options and, of course, once I move out of my current office space, I can officially create a beautiful room to welcome baby boy!
